Ideally, you&#8217;re ready for this scenario and have <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artofmanliness.com\/skills\/outdoor-survival\/hydration-for-the-apocalypse-how-to-store-water-for-long-term-emergencies\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">stocked emergency water<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as part of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artofmanliness.com\/skills\/outdoor-survival\/how-to-bug-in-what-you-need-to-know-to-survive-a-grid-down-disaster\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">your bug-in supplies.<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> But if you&#8217;re caught unprepared and need water for drinking and cooking, you&#8217;re not entirely out of luck. There are places in and around your home where you can obtain water in a pinch.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This guide highlights six sources of drinkable water. These sources, with the exception of the rain gutter and aquarium\/koi pond, offer water that&#8217;s likely potable as is; that even goes for the toilet \u2014 unless you&#8217;ve put cleaning tablets in there, the tank typically includes the same water that comes from your tap.
